As a first task for any AS modelers willing to volunteer to help me with my mod, I need a new model shape.

The existing 5x2 shape is number 7 (ID #8) in the shapes file. It uses the following files:

model STR "share/models/interface/opt/shapes/inventory/button_item_5x2.txt"
warn_model STR share/models/interface/opt/shapes/inventory/button_item_w_5x2.txt
alert_model STR share/models/interface/opt/shapes/inventory/button_item_a_5x2.txt

... and is defined as 10 blocks wide by 4 blocks high in inventory.

What I need is a 5x1 shape (10x2 blocks). This will be used for a couple of old and new weapons (katana & flatsterprod).

I can't sleep so i'm taking a little look. So far i only found out that one square is 24 units long. What i can't understand is why there is 3 references to the area size.
You want it 5x1 you say... i'll just remove 24 units then and hope for the best.
Don't know where on the net i should put the files when ready...

Thanks for taking up his first request. The hopes and dreams of 1000's of players rests in your good hands sir.

No pressure.

Hehe.

Well it's done.
You need to change all "5x2[...]" references to "5x1[...]" where the 5x1 area is to be used. I took a wild guess you didn't want all 5x2 meshes to be automaticly replaced.

That link should work, and i guess you know where to put the files. But i'm on a slow connection so that you know if it takes some time. If it doesn't work, i probably turned of my computer.

Tell me if i removed the wrong row.
(the top one and not the bottom one)

You might encounter deformations of the picture. If you do, you gonna need a gfx artist who draws a 5x1 box. Just tell me the name of the new texture if so, and i'll make the nessasary changes.

This link is probably only useful for ShadoWarrior. No point downloading for anybody else if your NOT doing a mod using a 5x1 inventory objekt.

Thank You!!!

I have successfully implemented the new 5x1 object in v2.13 of my mod. I'll be providing instructions when I make the release for those needing to edit their savegame files to make the new size work on existing items (which should be everyone, unless they start a new game).

Thank You!!!

Hey, Anytime.
Just tell me if you need any other shape fixed.
Took like 2 minutes time to do.
As long as it's 2D stuff i have no problem helping out.
