I've finally researched Firearm Accessories and am slightly confused. I can now manufacture Silencer and Flash Suppressor but not Accelertor or G-Stabiliser as they don't appear on my manufacture list (either in Basic or Advanced Weapon Factories). The 2 items I cannot manufacture I had a couple of looted from Cultist missions prior to the research. is this a bug or am I missing something?

The 2nd thing is for Sniper Scopes I need a Detection Factory (as displayed in the "no factory" screen) but can't find anywhere in Glossary the prereqs to get this factory or the research I need to do.

On a completely different topic Flatsters now have ranged attacks like Muckstars after the patch (happened everytime I've met one) ???

Had the same prob.
The accesories will be avaible after researching palsma weapons,then advanced weapon accesories.

Sniper rifles are made in the detection factory, to have acces to it, you need a detection device, like doppler scanner. When the time-out goes out, you'll find those things sooner or later.

As for flatsers, they do shoot like muckstars, but with faaaar lower accuracy. it hit one of my soldiers just once, but it was crit hit and my scout was flying sky high,straigh to the hospital tongue.gif

oh yeah, you can shortcut detection lab and factory research IF you salvage any detection device (preferably a scanner or moreso, a sniper scope wink.gif )

Lastly, gyro's are battlefield salvagable from cultists, think about using them as a accessory source for the early game smile.gif helped me anyway.

There's a bug with the gyros you capture from cultists. A lot of HK33's I find on cultist missions have a gyro, but in the scope slot instead of the underbarrel attachment. When I get them back to base a 2nd gyro can be fitted which gives them amazing accuracy in the hands of a trained soldier.

With 2 gyros the HK33 IMO is better than the XM8

did you tried a gyro on a shotgun ? it give me a 1000% range and accurency, make 1shot 1 dead at increable range, more about 50 thant the 8 written on the gun stats, taking back the gyro all is ok (and i use weapon rebalance mod)

The Gyro gives the massive range but no accuracy(0%).
The Motion Finder gives the massive accuracy but no range(usual shotgun range).

You have to use both of thems to benefit from an shotgun-sniper rifle.
That's a serious exploit there and I hope it's going to be looked into.
Too much "Bullet Enhancing" stuff around while Energy weapons are getting the chaff. dry.gif

You can also get the effect if you use a gyro with flechette ammo. The problem appears when you combine any two items that enhance accuracy. I reported this directly to Altar myself, and I know they're looking into it.

Sigh. BTW, are you using my mod? If so, please test flechette ammo with gyro-equipped XM8s and flechette shells with gyro-equipped shotguns. If using a motion finder with a gyro is still broken, then flechettes with gyros should be too. But we need to know for certain. thx

I'm not using any mods at all (Vanilla).
I was trying the (SPAS-15/Gyro/Motion Finder) config for one squad member.

The 5 others were equipped with XM-8 & AP Ammo with different configs(Gyro/Motion/UBLS/Accelerator).

-The UBLS didn't do any signle improvement.
-The Gyro gave an accuracy+range bonus.
-The Motion Finder gave an massive accuracy bonus.

I'll try the flechette ammo....
