Just an idea folks, how about we get together and make a new mod that fixes the problems UFO:AS still has? i know theres a few problems for other language versions too, Altar have already said they wont be making anymore patches...so how about we give it a try? just an Idea foks, i dont know much about it but havent seen it posted before and i think if we got together it could be done...or cant it?

Ideas would be great! like fixing scanners and grenades etc...

what you want would require a good amount of reprogramming, a major effort in itself

the problem here is starforce, the files that would have to be altered are SF-encrypted and protected,
this is what makes it impossible to mod out any bugs that remain in the code, anything that could be modded out has allready been adressed by shadowwarrior

SF isn't the problem. Since this game doesn't use XML or Python (like Civ4), there is actually very little that can be done to change the way the game works. Unlike with JA2, this game's sourcecode isn't publically available.
