Allright, so there are er... 5 different assault mods? What are the differences between them?

The newer assault mods are more challenging than the older ones. In other words, Advanced Assault is harder than Alien Assault, Advanced Assault 2 harder still, and Heroic Assault is the most challenging of all. If you want the exact details then you either have to extract the relevant game files and compare them to the unmodded versions, or do some in-depth SEARCHing on this forum (the info was posted a LONG time ago).
